I have a nice big thing of gammon to use up. I was planning in doing it in the slow cooker and serving as a mini roast but there'll be loads left over.
What can I do with it? I have fussy children so nothing too fancy!

Pea and ham soup. Use the slow cooker juice/stock to make it especially tasty.

Fried rice, using gammon instead of ham/bacon

Gammon & mushrooms in a creamy sauce, serve with rice or pasta or use as a filling for a pie or pancakes.

Gammon risotto, add some peas or broad beans or asparagus for colour.

Gammon and baked beans with fried potatoes, real cowboy food! Grin

I used up mine with the left over new potatoes from our roast by making a cheesy potato bake with chunks of gammon in. I made some white sauce that had a spoonful of wholegrain mustard in it and topped the bake with grated mozzarella...went down surprisingly well here for a 'leftover bake'!

Pasta carbonara.

Make cauliflower cheese, and either serve slices of the gammon with it, or chop the gammon and add to the cheese sauce before baking.

Macaroni cheese with gammon stirred into the cheese sauce before baking.

Thinly sliced and used as pizza topping.

Add shredded ham to an Asian style noodle broth.

Ham with bubble and squeak from your roast leftovers.

Ham, egg and chips? (I do it with homemade wedges.)

Ham salad - chop into appropriate size chunks, a bag of decent salad, maybe some green brand of you have them or an avocado, plenty of homemade croutons and lots off decent vinaigrette.

Ham and pea or mushroom pasta bake.

Soup - ham and pea or ham and lentil. Either way, definitely keep the stick it cooked in.

Chuck in a tomatoey pasta sauce, or for really quick chuck with a few peas into pasta pesto.

Delicious doorstep sandwiches with lashings of piccallilli. Not sure about spelling there!)

We love ham in our house and it's a really cheap and easy thing to eke out over several nights.
