Top tips for making pastry in a food processor

Want to make apple pie, previous attempts to make pastry have not been great...

Now I have a food processor it should be easy, yes? How do you make yours?

It does tend to be a touch hard via the mixer so I much prefer by hand

But if using the mixer just be really careful or to over mix and I'd only do the butter and flour bit and add the milk or water and mix by hand. Or if you do with mixer add it really slowly on a very slow setting.

The biggest mistake with pastry is to add too much liquid and overwork it.

Make sure your hands are cold, rest the pastry in the fridge a bit before you roll out too helps.
