Usually I like nothing more than having them with honey and yoghurt in the morning but these ones are a bit tasteless. Any ideas, sweet or savoury?

I had a lovely fig chutney with some Camembert when I was out for lunch this week, that might cheer them up a bit.

How about adding some spice to the honey, or a small shot of lemon juice?

Bake them with a cheese , thyme, walnut pieces and a drizzle of honey?

Make a flatbread and top with figs drizzled with honey, prosciutto and Brie, bake and serve with rocket.

Poach in port or wine?
Quarter without going all the way through to the bottom, fill space with cheese of choice (goat's cheese is lovely), drizzle with a little honey and wrap in slices of prosciutto or streak bacon, bake in oven Serve with rocket salad and really good bread.

These all sound gorgeous. I ended up doing midweek staple of a red pepper and goats cheese puff pastry and chucked them in with that. I'll be more adventurous next time armed with some wicked recipes Smile
