Any recommendations for ice cream makers please?

My mother mentioned she would like an ice cream maker. she loves ice cream and does make her own, but it can be a bit of a chore. I owe her a birthday present and would like to buy her one. She rarely mentions any 'I wants'. I am looking at the lower end of the market, the ones where you freeze the bowl. The Andrew James one is the 'Which?' recommendation. Does anyone have an ice cream maker they are really pleased with?
