Don't eat meat but love fish. No allergies.
I have never really eaten very healthy, I tend to eat whatever's to hand and quick. Id really like to start looking after myself but I don't really know where to start! I know that I should eat fruit and veg and oily fish and drink water. I've just never really planned my meals to make sure I'm getting everything I need Blush

This is a plea to anyone who would be able to educate me and maybe help me put together a starting plan, I'm thinking if I can get a full weeks meals planned then I'll suddenly be inspired! I really do want to change my eating habits for my health.

There is a great magazine out there called Healthy Food Guide which contains lots of info and a month of menus - it sounds like it could be really helpful for you - you can buy it in all supermarkets

I think the phrase produce not products is really helpful and helps you cut out a load of the crap. Just keep things really simple.
I'd start with making a list of 6 healthy main meals. (Leaves one day left for last minute change of plan and using up left overs.)
Veggie chilli and rice
Oven baked salmon with new pots and green beans
Moroccan Chickpea and apricot tagine with cous cous
Spicy prawn skewers and salad
Fritata and Salad
Tuna nicoise
Drink loads of water and don't snack on anything other than fruit or veg until you have had your 5 a day.
Once you've nailed that you can look and breakfast and lunch.

You could do worse that look at some Annabel Karmel and Gina Ford baby food recipes.... some of them are really tasty, low in salt and sugar etc. I make extra for my dh (not blitzed obvs) as he likes them so much.

Thank you all for your suggestions!

Sprinting those meals are great! I'd devour every one of them except maybe the cous cous but that's just because I'm not keen on apricots. My dh and dcs meals are always meat based but I'd get away with us all eating them so that'll cut down on my cooking time ( believe it or not I know how to feed them, I just struggle with my own meals!)
