Party food for about 10 adults and 4 toddlers?! Kids eat first or big buffet for all?

Sons 2nd birthday on Monday and we've got three other 2-year-olds coming with their parents, mostly my family members. I think there will be about 10 adults.

How do you cater for eveybody as this kind of party? Sandwiches and nibbles for the toddlers first and then bring out pizza and snacks for the adults after they've finished? Or just a big free-for-all buffet?

I would go for a free for all but have cold bits ready to go as toddlers won't want to wait and it'll make it easier for you and their parents. Sandwhiches, quiches, cut up fruit, veg sticks and dips, sausage rolls, bread sticks, buttered French stick ect all out on the table. Cling film whipped off just before arrival of guests the bring out the warm stuff as its ready.

I'd do a big buffet for everyone. People tend to graze at parties anyway, plus if you do separate food for the adults you can guarantee the kids will then want some!

I would do a big buffet for the adults and a little one for the kiddies. On kiddy sized tables etc. I've done it before and it was so cute watching the kids copy the adults queuing for their very own buffet!

Thanks! I don't know why sometimes I get so bogged down with my to-do list I lose all imagination when it comes to things like this.

beckslovestimmy good party food ideas. If it's sunny we'll do a BBQ but weather not looking promising Sad
