Taramasalata

I love taramasalata and get it from the supermarket on the spur of the moment very occasionally. It always seems to taste too creamy, not fishy enough and not with a sharp lemon taste. It's too rich and too much of a dip rather than spread for me these days. Any recommendations, preferably supermarkets for ease or any other brands, please?

I like the M&S one ......but I do quite often squeeze over some lemon

I like it too and went mad on it when I was pregnant! I blind tasted one slow day (m&s, waitrose, sainsburys) and concluded sainsburys had the strongest fish taste (in a good way). I might try and make my own one day!

I made my own once, it was disgusting and tasted like fishy bins.
I buy sainsbos generally or the smoked one from Co op.
