I am immensely cheered by this - well worth keeping an eye out for if you have an Asda nearby.

I hope other supermarkets will do that too!
10-15% of veg gets left with growers because of their wonkiness.

I hope they have online not just in store. Hard to tell from the picture exactly how much you get but glad they have taken off the price. Given the time morisons did it as part of tv program they were selling same price.

Suprised it's only 10-15% sure for carrots and potatoes it was a lot more considered not perfect and thrown.

Never thought I'd say WELL DONE to Asda. So much food gets put in the ground/destroyed cos it ain't pretty. It's a disgrace. I'd Defo buy a wonky veg box. Listen up, Aldi!

Hope they do it online, I'd definitely buy it.

Was just reading about this. £3.50 for a veg box which apparently will last 4 pp a week!

Oooh brilliant! Is it on sale in the shops yet?

ChubbyPolecat Sun 07-Feb-16 22:39:41

They're trialling it in certain shops you can look on the asda website to see if there's one near you

This was on the one show today admit actual watched it for once!
Looks good value at moment normal 3 peppers is 99p asda. Cabbage 99p and cucumber 50p do only another pound for carrot leek potatoes onions and various other bits. Can't see them keeping price that low mind.

Mind you saying carrot was in box because was split at bottom. About 30% of my carrots and parsnips from asda have these and I'm charged full price!

I got one!!! I was really impressed by it. Have made a big batch of veg soup and will be making a veg curry at some point when I get my arse in gear. Really hoping they carry on with them.

I love the idea too! Just wish it could have been a company with a more ethical track record, but there, you can't have it all.

My local market does wonky veg, it's so cheap. A bulb of garlic is only 15p!
