I'm having some friends over for dinner this weekend and one is veggie and the other can't have gluten. Any ideas?

That is our household!
Veggie curries are often gluten free
Veggie chilli with rice
Moroccan vegetable tagine with rice
Lots of Lebanese or middle eastern dishes are suitable
Mexican - corn Tortillas with vegetable stir fry, refried beans, guacamole and salad

You can also get gluten free pasta - doves farm is the best brand. Make sure you cook it according to the instructions.

Be aware that lots of packet or tinned sauces, curry paste etc have gluten in them. Soy sauce has gluten too.

Risotto (watch the stock cube - kallo is gf) - maybe butternut squash, leek, sage and blue cheese?
Veg curry, rice, poppadums
veg chilli, rice, nachos (most plain ones are gf, just check the packet to be sure), guac etc

Thanks :) I just tried some butternut squash spaghetti that I got from M&S. Oh my goodness it is so good! I'm thinking a mixture of courgette spaghetti and that with mushrooms and pesto will be good and certainly at least 3 of our 5 a day Grin

Sounds delicious! Sacla make a vegetarian pesto (not all cheese is vegetarian, and Parmesan isn't. But there are vegetarian alternatives, eg sainsbueys own brand 'hard pasta cheese')

Risotto
A nice mutter paneer always feels like a treat
Lentil shepherds pie
Lots if interesting Chinese tofu dishes if you're a bit braver

If you're thinking of courgetti/butternut squash noodles then this sauce is delicious:
