I'm trying really hard to like this slow cooker but I'm not getting on well with it at all.
Today I put in 2 chopped onions, 2 red peppers, 2 courgettes, 2 cloves of garlic, some mixed herbs and a carton of passata. Left it on high for 4 hours and it tastes revolting.
Usually I follow slow cooker recipes I've found on the internet but today I just made it up. Whatever I do, everything that comes out of it has a weird, metallic taste.
Has anyone got ideas where I'm going wrong? Is the onions or the tomatoes? Am I cooking things on too high a heat for too long.
It's a new slow cooker. I'm seriously thinking of sticking it on Freecycle tomorrow as I'm so fed up of chucking food away.
