Looking for glorious special Pudding for Christmas day for those who don't eat Christmas Pudding or mince pies. What are you having?

Yule log, and something appley. And/or maybe a cheesecake. Not super-wow, but we really really like them.

It'd usually be profiteroles in the mix somewhere, but we've slightly od-d on them recently.

Trifle. It's the only festive tradition from DH's family I like and do in this house. Others I have not decided to follow include serving steak with the roast dinner but only for the men , and the usual festive argument.

Chocolate roulade. The filling is whipped cream with white choc mixed in -gorgeous! Looks a bit plain, so I flick melted chocolate over the top in a messy artsy way

Mum insists on trifle, kids always want chocolate, so usually a Yule log. Had a cheesecake and profiteroles as well last year, but we have less people this year.

I wanted to do a cheesecake, but DD doesn't like them , so now I am slightly at a loss.
DD wants homemade tiffin, but I don't think it is very Christmassy, or desserty, though I have agreed to make it instead of a Christmas cake.
I might make a chocolate and ginger cheesecake for everyone else, and DD can sit there with a slice of tiffin.
Love the sound of the Mont Blanc and the pear and almond tart.

Thank you! So many mouth watering suggestions here, I'll have one of each! Forgot to mention that can't have nuts which is a shame as the chestnut meringue thingy sounds divine. I'm guessing that it's just not the same without them.
