Freezer/microwave storage

I've just bought a few plastic boxes suitable for freezing/microwaving food. They're the plastic ones you get in some takeaways.

Does anyone know if these are reusable or do you use them once and stock up again?

Also, can I microwave all of my meals from frozen or should I leave them to defrost first - or does it depend on the meal?

Sorry for silly questions.

Should think that they are reuseable. As for defrosting, think it would depend on the meal.

You can get the foil cartons with lids from Home Bargains that go straight in the oven.

I've been using and re-using takeaway containers for freezing food for years with no ill effects.
I replenish them when they go a bit grey looking or the lids stop fitting snugly.

I do tend to defrost the food before cooking it though, but this is just a habit I've got into and not because of any "research", scientific or nutritional reasons.

Thanks very much both. I might get some of the tin ones too for the oven...
