3kg bone in loin of pork

How long to cook for? I have one book (Jamie) who cooks a 3 kg piece for one hour () and then my Aga cookbook which says 25 minutes for 450g which is 2.75 hours.... quite a difference, and my instinct tells me somewhere in between... oven needs to be hot for some of the cooking to get the crackling going, but probably not the whole time...

I would go with 20 min + 20 mins for each 500g. so 1 hour 40 min.
