Tana Ramsy -- Pumpkin Risotto--no!

Just tried this - she made it look so easy and tasty! It was awful! You had to put the rice, the pumpkin and the chicken stock in the oven for 30 minutes - well after 30 minutes the rice and pumpkin was rock hard, so i tried another 15 and still hard - in the end i transfered it to a pot and cooked it off on the top of the oven - i kept having to add liquid as it was drying out. Just wanted to let anyone know if they where thinking of trying it - it looked to easy and healthly!

Hi klou - I got the Tana book in the post on Satruday and was so dissapointed with it! I thought it was going to have some fabulous things in it - but it's no different to any other book out there! It made me think of Nigella (who I love) and wasn't really even as good - big shame! I have to say, I've got a GF cookbook and so far, it's never ever let me down - DD is currently having the chicken and butternut squash pie once a day as it seems to be the only bloody thing she'll eat!!!!!
what a shame your recipe didn't work out - it's so annoying isn't it?!
