Hi all I'm 8 weeks pregnant with dc1 and get in from work around 6.30 - by which time I'm usually starving, nauseous and exhausted. Dh is happy to cook but not usually in until 8- way too late for me. I've got some time on my hands this week and would like to fill my freezer with lovely food that I can just heat up after work. What can I cook? Easy, simple recipes without loads of ingredients please. I've got chicken in the freezer and I've gone off mince

Oh, poor you. Could you get some healthy snacks in for emergencies? Like nuts, avocados, tinned fish?

Is it fillets, whole chicken or? Maybe chicken curry?

What about a chicken and choritzo casserole? Would be nice with rice or a baked potato. Do you have a slow cooker? You can bag up raw ingredients to bung in before work.

I do have a slow cooker so bagging up raw ingredients is a great idea. I've got fillets and whole chicken and love curry. Even I can manage that. Thank you

Microwave rice is quick and easy. If you did five bags, freeze two meals every time you cook, you would have the next two weeks ready, three weeks of cooking in one week! Maybe more if your slow cooker is big. They are quite keen on doing this in America, lots on Pinterest under Crock pots. You can also add a bag of spinach just before you serve for a different look if your fed up with one. I would add potato so its a meal in one too. You could also do soup and take a flask to work. I always felt much worse on an empty stomach but it went well before 20 weeks so hang on in there!
