What time do you eat your main meal of the day and do you eat it together as a family?

About 5.30pm and yes eat together.

Exception is if either of us won't be home until after 7pm or an activity for the kids clashes.

The kids eat around 5.30/6ish and me and dh eat later when he gets home from work/football training. Can be 9pm sometimes when we have dinner

Around 7-8pm, eaten as a family if we have no evening activities. About 4 days a week we have sports/clubs so get home at different times and everyone helps themselves when they get in. In that case dinner can be around 8.30-10pm.

DD has her dinner at 5.15. We both run our own businesses and longer hours, so we eat dinner later between 8 or 9. I couldnt eat at 5!

We eat 6-6.30, sometimes I eat with DD and DH heats his up later. Although a lot better than she used to be, we can't 100% guarantee bedtime won't take hours and I'm not prepared to risk having to wait until 10pm for my tea!

DD eats between 4.30 and 5. Me and oh eat between 8 and 9. We eat breakfast and lunch together though I couldn't eat my dinner at 5 though too early I wouldn't get anything else done

We decided that we would in future eat together as a family when I was pregnant with DD, previously we ate at whatever time on the sofa in front of the telly. So far we have stuck to it, DD is only 3 though

If DD is at nursery, she eats a main meal at lunch and has a snacky dinner. DH and I eat later.

If she's at home, we have a light lunch and she and I eat a proper dinner together; DH eats later.

Weekends, we have light lunches; DH and I eat later on Saturday and we all eat together Sunday night.

Ds aged nearly 3 eats his at 5 ish and dd aged 12 has a smaller portion of whatever he has as a snack - I sit with them both and have a tea or whatever. Dd, dh and I all have "proper" dinner about 7.30 ish. Ds goes to bed at 6.30 and is really tired then and his dinner time is too early for the rest of us!

Weekdays kids eat about 5ish. We eat about 8.30 after bedtimes.

Weekends are more mixed up.

We eat at 6ish at the table every night, 3 teens dh and tween. Some nights some of us do sport so someone is missing. They reheat whatever we had when we come in. I definitely wouldn't cook more than one meal, time or budget-wise.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the reasonable hour that working parents get home, as many people seem to eat at 530 or six.
