oooh that sounds good, the malteser recipe used maltesers for the base and then was a vanilla baked cheesecake with chocolate chunks and cherries stirred in!

ooooo found it - but not with cherries but maltesers and by Jamie Oliver ... phew - slow day in the office

Cheesecake (by Jamie Oliver)

200 g Malteser
250 g Shortbread cookies (Butterkekse)
150 g Butter
500 ml Sour cream
600 g Cream cheese (like Philadelphia)
170 g Sugar
4 Eggs
Lemon zest of 1 lemon
Vanilla (I used 2 tablespoons of vanilla sugar)
1 Bar of chocolate

Line a normal sized spring form baking pan with baking paper (makes it easier to take it out in the end).

Crumble the cookies and the Malteser and mix them with melted butter. Press the mixture into the spring form.

Mix sour cream, cream chesse, egg yolks, sugar, lemon cest and vanilla.
Whisk stiff the eggwhite and add to this mixture.
Fill on took of the cookie mixture.

Break the bar of chocolate into pieces and spread it over the cake (gently pushing them in).

Bake in the preheated oven at 170 degree Celsius for about 60 minutes.

hmmm sounded so good, had a little hunt - couldn't find it - but did find this .... you could lob some cherries on top?

Mars Bar Cheesecake Recipe

-250 g plain chocolate biscuits
-150 g butter, melted plus and extra
-20 g butter
-300 ml thickened cream
-2 tablespoons brown sugar
-50 g milk chocolate, chopped finely
-3 teaspoons gelatin
-60 ml boiling water
-2 (250 g) packets softened cream cheese
-110 g caster sugar
-3 (60 g) Mars bars, finely chopped.

Process biscuits in a food processor until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs, then add the melted butter and process until combined.
Press biscuit mixture firmly over the base and side of a round (20cm) springform cake pan. Chill for 30mins or until firm. Meanwhile, combine 2 tablespoons cream, brown sugar and extra butter in a small saucepan. Stir on low heat for 3-4 minutes, until the sugar dissolves. Set aside.
In a separate saucepan melt the chocolate with 2 tablespoons cream on low heat stirring until smooth. Set aside.
Dissolve geletine by whisking into water with a fork until dissolved. Cool slightly set aside.
Using an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese and caster sugar together in a bowl until smooth.
In another bowl whisk remaining cream until soft peaks form.
Stir geletine mixture into cheese mixture with Mars bars. Fold in cream. Pour half of cheese mixture into prepared pan and drizzle with half of the caramel and chocolate sauces.
Pull a skewer backwards and forwards through the mixture several times to create a marbled effect.Repeat process with remaining cheese mixture and sauces.

Cover and chill for 3 hours until set. (Sorry you have to wait!) Slice to serve. Makes around 8 slices..

What about sending an email to Jamie's website and asking for him to print the recipe on the site? Or at the very least join mumsnet and post it on this thread

Have sadly lost the recipe, it was in the Radio Times about 5 years ago... very long shot but do any of you lovely people have this recipe?

Thanks all.
