Looking for suggestions. We've got guests coming and I want to serve some nice beef fillet thickly sliced with a nice sticky marinade and dauphinoise potatoes. Thinking of something slightly sweet to get a lovely glaze but all I can find online are red wine/ rosemary combos. Or recipes for actually bbqing the meat. I need to do it in my (very small and a bit useless) single oven. Any ideas??

Try mixing balsamic vinegar and redcurrant jelly, maybe with a little tarragon or parsley

Why?! It will totally ruin the taste of the beef. You don't need a sweet, sugary glaze. It's an expensive cut of beef - just enjoy the taste of it for itself!
