Stepmum gave me a Slow Cooker as a Christmas gift- said I can cook 'anything' in it.

Can I??

Im after a good book that will lead me in the right Slow Cooker way- any recommendations?

Yep you can cook most things in it.
Start here at the slow cooker recipes on MN
Some recipes tell you to brown meat before adding but I don't bother any more.

Audrey Deane has written a good one, but try your local library - I used lots of slow cooker books from there when I first had mine.

This one is very good, and cheap:

Slow cooked wonders on fb is only really good if you want a laugh, or to make fudge!
I've got this book, which I love, never had a bad dish out of it!
The trick with slow cookers is to always put in half the amount of liquid you think you'll need!

This grin
This blog is great if you want inspiration crockpot365.blogspot.co.uk

But you can use any stew recipes and just 1/3 the liquid.

This is my favourite. I have numerous books on slow cooking but this one is consistently good and has both unusual and weekday type meals, and, as I'm quite shallow I like that there's a picture of each recipe. - although as slow cooking can lead to brown mush I think that a photo of what it's supposed to look like is particularly relevant in this case.
