who does brussel sprouts, fried in garlic butter perhaps, with pine nuts, bacon? topped off with parmesan (?) cheese.

does this recipe sound familiar? How do you do the brussel sprouts, boil them before you roast them?

If any mner has this recipe in a Jamie or Nigella book I would love the exact details. Thank you in advance!

Xmas Smile

No idea about Jamie or Nigella but Gordon Ramsay does very nice ones with bacon, chestnuts, lemon and parmesan

I think it might be nigella. I pan fry them. I'm sure I learned that off ottolenghi.

Something like this [[http://www.cooksister.com/2011/12/sauteed-brussels-sprouts-with-caramelised-garlic.html]{

One of the links is pancetta and pine nuts.

I reckon I've been doing shredded sprouts with bacon and chestnuts for about 10 years. Was a Nigel slater recipe in my mum's You magazine! Grin

Jamie. Chestnuts and bacon all fried up with cooked sprouts. Only way I'll eat em now. Amazingly yummy

I bought two small cans of water chesnuts now. I must get some worcestershire sauce. That sounds gorgeous!

Water chestnuts aren't the same!

Water chestnuts are for Chinese stir fry type things.
Chestnuts for Christmas are very different!
