Melon with ham for Xmas Day starter. Naice ham ideas please.

For a few years now, I've used Parma ham to go with the melon, but would like a change this year.

Looking for something a little special, but not spicy or fatty (MIL likes 'normal' and lean). The antipasti meats look to have spicy meat in, and would be a waste, plus I want to add a little chutney with the ham, and have tomatoes on the vine too (splashing out with overtime money ).

I will be food shopping this Friday coming, so any ideas welcome

Parma ham is the ham to have really. Why would you spoil a marriage made in heaven, just for the sake of change

It's true- Parma is the king in this realm. It's been a year since last Christmas- you've had enough of rest not to need the change

You could have smoked salmon instead if you really want a change. Otherwise, parma is the best for this.

Pata Negra is the ultimate in cured ham if you can find it
