What to dip in baked Camembert?

For some bizarre reason I've had a sudden craving for baked Camembert with dippy things to dip in it.

I've never even had it before, so why I'm craving it is a mystery! Confused

So far thought of garlicky bread, breadsticks and carrots. What else could I use?

I usually do it with baby new potatoes.

Potatoes?!

All you need is really lovely bread. And what is nice is a bit of olive oil and balsamic vinegar is a pot too. Dip into your oil and vinegar and then scoop up your cheese. Mmmmmmmm! Grin

Not too keen on potatoes! Bread seems to be the most popular thing, and a spoon would be standard Wink

Thank you for your suggestions :)

Put a blob of caramelised onion chutney on top about 2 mins before you're ready to take it out of the oven and then dip toasted ciabatta fingers in to it, heaven Smile

Mix apricot jam with chopped red chilli. Cut Camembert in half spread half jam mix on bottom half add a sprinkling of chopped pecans. Put top half Camembert on and top with remaining jam mix and more pecan. Bake in oven at 170 until gooey in the middle. Serve with sliced French bread, fresh or drizzled with olive oil and slightly toasted.

Raw veggies, especially carrots; salted tortilla chips; toasted pitta; breadsticks...

We pour a tiny amount of e.v olive oil and sprinkle a bit of fresh thyme on ours before cooking. A bit of balsamic vinegar would probably be good too.

sharp green apples and baked camembert is delicious.. Granny Smiths or whatever exists these days.

I'd go with a cheery French country bread. No need to overcomplicate things: the cheese is the sta.

I love baked camembert! I bake a loaf then smear toasted slices with roast garlic popped out of the cloves and drizzle on the buttery garlicky juices. Then dip in the camembert.

It is honestly the most delicious thing ever.

Well I cooked two earlier (one each for my mum and I, not both for meWink) and it didn't turn out how I expected tbh. I baked for 15 mins and was expecting the consistency to be gooey and smooth, but it was almost like a mousse! Had I overcooked it or undercooked it or was it just a shit quality cheese?

Garlic nan bread? I just made that up, but it sounds a possibility.

I always cut a baguette lengthways and smear the inside with tomato puree and bake in oven for 15 mins, about the same as the camembert.

Gorgeous :)

What temp did you bake them at? Mine come out ok at 15 mins :)
Cherry toms are nice to dip into it too. If you are going to try again...
