We eat a mainly vegetarian (me vegan) diet but DH complaining about lack of meat - bought some random soy mince the other day on a whim, what do I do with it?! Just usual spag bog etc?

Yep that's what I do - veggie chilli etc.

I make bolognaise, can also use it in lasagne, to make it healthy I sometimes use cottage cheese instead of cheese sauce (doesn't taste as good though).

Also chilli and put plenty of smoked paprika in. You can also use it for things like cottage pie or tacos.

Main thing to remember is that it cooks way quicker than meat mince.

We've just had some tonight in a chilli, and I also use it for lasagne and shepherds pie when I don't want real shepherds in it.

so basically just usual mince recipes then? Does it need more flavouring? Can you make burgers out of it?!!

I use quite a lot of seasoning. I would imagine it might be hard to make burgers, I've never tried it but it doesn't seem very cohesive, guess that may be because it has a lower fat content. You could maybe try using egg or egg white to bind it?

I cook it with water then add bisto red gravy granules at the end to make it a bit thicker, this is good for mince and tatties (with skirlie) or cottage pie.
Is it the frozen kind?
