I'd go to Hard Rock cafe (although not really that cheap).

The Trafford Centre has a wide range of restaurants - Frankie & Bennies, Ma Potters, La Tasca, etc (the website has the full list)

the ox noble pub in castlefield (although you might have to book)
Tampopo in Albert Square (noodle bar - have a special kids menu thingy which is lovely)

Kroma is really nice (off Albert sq) but it is pizza and pasta (although very yum).

pizzas are on the menu but you don't have to choose them and the staff are brill with kids.
