Now, other than stick my whole hand into said tin and eat the stuff like Winnie the Pooh eats his honey, what other great things can I do with it?

Arse of a tablet!!

Millionaire shortbread if you have chocolate, butter and plain flour.

Treacle Tart.

If it was evaporated milk, Gypsy Tart.

Boil it up for a couple of hours, Your options could then be toffee apple crumble, millionaire shortbread, banoffee pie, or eat it with a spoon Grin

Mix with whipped double cream and some Greek yoghurt, zest and juice of up to 4 lemons depending on how lemony you like it. Pour onto crushed ginger biscuit base and leave in fridge to set. Tastes like the most amazing indulgent lemony creamy dessert ever! Or in ramekins with raspberries.

You can make fudge with it.

Open the tin and get a spoon.....
Plastic spoons are best for eating straight from tin.

No bake, no cheese cheesecake. Best EVER!!! No really, fantastic and very simple.

Make a digestive biscuit base.

Whip large pot double cream.

Add can condensed milk

Add juice of 4 lemons, zest of 2.

Put on biscuit base, leave to chill for a few hours (or overnight)

No really, pick this! Make this! Grin

Another vote for tablet!

Or you could heat it up with some butter and brown sugar to make a caramel sauce for ice cream, which is what I've done with one large gloopy splodge from the tin of condensed milk I opened ten minutes ago Grin

Chocolate fudge - Melt together tin of condensed milk, 50g butter, 500g dark chocolate. Beat in 1 tsp vanilla. Pour into baking tray/tupperware/etc to set.

So good.

Please stop everyone and get this thread deleted. I have 2, yes 2 tins of condensed milk sitting in my cupboard. I had to force myself not to just break one open the other night and eat it in the style of Winnie. Mmmmm tablet. Need tablet.......

Hell no way am I giving it to my cat! I'm still giving him the stink eye from last weeks shenanigans where the little sod nicked my jam doughnut from the kitchen table! Not only that, but he ate all the bread and left the lump of jam on the floor on its own amongst the crumbs.

Whip a pot of cream, add vanilla and condensed milk. Freeze it. Honestly the best ice cream ever.

There's something a friend of my mum's makes with coconut and condensed milk. They're like little biscuits or cakes. Delish. No idea what they are called and I've never seen them anywhere else.
