Fudge sauce

I have about 1/2 a pint of fudge sauce left that I made to go with sticky toffee pudding, I was hoping I could use it to make banoffee pie.

Trouble is the sauce is too thick, what can I mix with it to soften it up a bit? Milk? Butter? Syrup?
