Want to be able to do something like tuna and mayo sandwiches but DS is allergic to egg, is there a decent substitute? Tuna plain is ok sometimes, but can be a bit dry.

I buy vegan mayo at my local health food shop. I think plamil make it. Tastes ok to me. I usually get garlic flavour.

Hadn't thought of health food shops, shall have a look next time I'm in town.

I've been known to use sour cream or creme fraiche in the past, it's not quite as nice but it will do! I throw in some spring onion to give it a bit of bite but that might not suit your ds.

Pesto? Tomato salsa?

Some of the supermarkets do egg free mayo, it's pretty good.

Check out the free-from aisles - it depends on the size of the supermarket, the smaller ones might not have it

I use sour cream or plain yoghurt with a drop of olive oil in it.

primula cheese might work, goes well with smoked salmon or as a quick sauce for prawn pasta.

These are all really useful, had a quick look in the free from aisle today but it was very bare. Maybe when they've restocked.

DS would probably like spring onion, he seems to prefer stronger flavours.

Tuna Crunch - tuna, red onion and cucumber..Nom.

What about a mexican sandwich - chicken breast with a bit of guacamole?

Cold sliced beef with mint sauce, yum.
