melt butter and golden syrup. Then using a spoon drip all over the popcorn (place popcorn on a large tray, spread out).

It is gorgeous.

sweet = sprinkle with sugar, same as for salt really. Caster sugar is better as it is finer and sticks better to warm popcorn

sweet and buttery I would pour over melted butter, them sprinkle with sugar, or go to ASDA where they sell huge tubs for £1 :)

I wouldn't add sugar, not nice.

You need 75g (3oz) butter

3 tablespoons of golden syrup

Trust me it is realy nice.

It coats the popcorn because of the syrup. Just like Butterkist, but nicer.
Whenever I make it at home it is gone within seconds. Oh I want some now!

You def. need caster sugar - it gives the popcorn that caramelised taste, if that makes sense. Butter, caster sugar and golden syrup.

we just sprinkle with icing sugar sticks better than normal sugar, use less and it's really nice. I found melted butter not worked for me, soggy and, well buttery, yuk

For the next time you make it, this is a great toffee recipe, from "Rachel's Favourite Food":

Melt 40g (!.5 oz) butter, add 40g brown sugar and 2 tbsp golden syrup and stir over a high heat for 1-2 mins. Then pour over your popcorn, mix and allow to cool a little

i'd been wondering this too, will have to give it a try. I usually sprinkle chilli powder over mine, much tastier than jsut salt.

I have just been searching for Pocorn ideas,

I tried the butter & golden syrup thing & got a VERY sticky load of soggy popcorn.

How do you all do yours so can hand it round without needing a flannel between every handful????

Thanks

just use a very little butter, like about a dessert spoon for a whole saucepan of popcorn

no no no no

make the popcorn

then in a seperate pan on high heat put plenty of icing sugar

keep stirring - it will start to melt quite quickly, when it is melthed chuck in popcorn and stir. leave it to cool then crumble it up with hands

its the only way
