If it is supposed to be used by today then I would say that yes it would be fine today.

smell it - it will smell awful if it's off

I would eat it myself (maybe) but DEFINITELY not give it to a child. Fish is normally off said to be off after 3 days, isn´t it?

smells fishy, think i'm going to chuck it (expensive too) hate wasting money!

I'm not surprised - I usually eat fish on the day of purchase or freeze it.

Had a nasty experience with a salmon once
