Making pea and ham soup. I have never made it with dried split peas before. I soaked them overnight and am cooking them in the ham stock but they are really scummy. Do I just scoop it off? I keep scooping all my veg and bay leaves out too.
Scoop it off into a sieve then rinse the leaves and return?
