Having chicken goujons for dinner but that time of day is always fraught with a tired two year old and grumpy baby So can I crumb my goujons now and stick them in the fridge or will the crumbs go funny?
Using dried breadcrumbs if that makes a difference.
Ok thanks I will do then, will make dinner extra easy then! Need to use up new potatoes (which dp always moans are boring ) any excellent ideas for them?! End of the week so pretty low on supplies.....
Hi, yes I do them in advance, my children are older now so not so rushed at tea time myself.
One more thing that I do , when I do goujons I tend to use ruskolene myself but also works with breadcrumbs, I tend to make a double batch, one for tea that night and a lot for the freezer, the freezer lot gives me an easy all ready prepared meal for some time in the future. Both ruskolene and breadcrumbs are fine in the freezer. Take them out to defrost and heat them up.
