I thought that was called corn beef hash, very tasty and a staple on any Guide camp.

OOh yes corned beef hash is a fav in our household but I make it without stock.I believe that Panaculty is a regional variant of Panhaggerty which is also tasty, cheap and filling with very little prep or washing up!Grin
I'd been looking for a recipe specifically for cub nights as I need something quick which will fill ds2 up and also it's the kind of dish which he could learn to make for his cooking badge.

I'm from the north and my version of Panaculty is different. (well its how my nan used to make it) I put mince, sausages, bacon, onion in a dish layered with potatoes on top and stocks poured over. cook in oven until done (not made it for ages so cannot remember how long.) Dp loves it but turns out to be quite expensive with all the meat.

My great nan's version was to put potatoes and bacon in a frying pan with flour and water and boil (adding more water as you go) Was lovely with slice of bread and butter and ketchup.

I bet that would feed an army with all that meat!Grin
