Please can i have some ideas on what meals to make my dd. Up until now I've been making meals from Annabel Karmel book... but i need ideas on quick and healthy foods. DD never use to eat jar foods but I feel that I am now starting to turn to them atleast 2-3 times a week and this i feel is not good for her. Please help Smile

Why can't she just eat what you eat?

Hmmm Blush good question!

Hubby and I haven't quite got out of the routine of ready meals and take aways Blush Blush

We keep meaning to but come 8.30 in the eve we can't be bothered to cook. When do you all cook and what do you do with little ones? I'm getting tired of having to do big batches of meals on the weekends and then freezing them. However it is convenient and quick to defrost etc. Her meals are basically ready in 15 mins which therefore means i am not a) having to cook for an hour everyday and therfore trying to keep her amused too and b) gives us both a little extra time to go out shopping and visiting friends etc.

But like I said, this has to stop.

If you complain of lack of time,I really cant see that cooking up different stuff for her is going to save you any!
Also it will be hard to expect her to have good eating habits if she sees you eating crap.

Sorry to be blunt.

Try making double every time you cook and putting half in the freezer.
It soon mounts up.

I would make a list of quick and easy dinners for all of oyu.
They don't have to be fancy, stull like pesto and pasta, poached egs on toast or whatever and just devise a rota.

I have a hand blender and until recently just whizzed up a portion for ds.
