Can I re-freeze filo pastry?

I wouldn't re-freeze anything without cooking it first - and I don't think I'd freeze cooked filo.

Could you make some baklava to use up the scraps?

I'm pretty sure you can refreeze filo because there is no fats ie. butter in it. Double check the packaging but I think filo is just flour and water.

I have put filo pastry back in the freezer and it's OK, although it does get a little dried out and slightly brittle. Just brush it with melted butter to stop it cracking when you come to use it again.

Can you do anything quick and easy with the leftovers now like cigarette pie aka Turkish sigara boregi? It cooks just as well in the oven BTW. You can add mint, spinach, chopped spring onion, use Philadelphia or cheddar if you haven't got feta.
