Quick question - banana bread!

I'm making banana and cardamom bread. I'm looking at caraway seeds and wondering if that would taste nicer than cardamom.

What do you think? Will it be too strong a taste?

I've only got gin and whisky (hic). I usually use cardamom but its such a faff to grind it up.

I won't use caraway seeds in place of cardamon. But then I don't like the aniseed taste ...

I like the jewish bread with the caraway seeds in it. Maybe its sweeter though. I went with cardamon but forgot to put the saffron in it. Oh well, its baking away now, so hope its ok. The banana and apple cake came out lovely though. Guess who had a fruit bowl of manky bananas?

Having overripe bananas is a very good reason to bake all kinds of things! I have apples that nobody is eating, but I grate them into bread. smile

I have loads of frozen bananas too!

If you have loads of frozen bananas, you could make smoothies - or just food process up the frozen bananas into instant 'ice cream'.

Add cocoa / peanut butter as you wish.
