Was just making poached eggs on toast, cracked two eggs into pan, fine. Went to crack a third one and it was all red like blood <boak> I looked in the shell and there's just a yolk surrounded by what looks like blood. Has put me right off! Just having toast now. They aren't out of date or anything.
Yes I think it means the egg may have been fertilised. I don't think it would do you any harm to eat it(?) but I probably wouldn't either. On the other hand, good to know you must be buying free range eggs for that to happen! (I'm guessing?) happy hens.
