9.5 mo dairy intolerance - alternatives?

My DD is 9 and a half months old. From day 1, whenever I would eat any dairy she would get tummy aches and scream terribly.

Since starting weaning she now gets diarrhea if she has the smallest amount of milk / cheese / yoghurt. I've tested this a few times so am sure this is the case and we now avoid it.

The GP has referred us for allergy testing but we can't get appointment for a couple of months. In the meantime, I'm concerned about her getting the nutrients that she needs. She has a daily multivitimin and I still breastfeed 3 times a day, but soon will need to substitute or drop the afternoon feed when she goes to nursery. Any ideas of what I can substitute with and what I can give her instead of yoghurt/cheese?

TIA

Alpro junior has extra vitamins in it, says 1plus but my dd had it from the same age. Have you seen a paediatric dietician to help talk you through what you can and can't give? Alpro also make soya yogurts too, there is a smooth one if she doesn't like lumps. you can get dairy free ice cream for treats too. I never bothered with substituting cheese, just cut it out her diet. There is dairy free 'butter' too.

I went back to work when DS was 1 and just substituted the afternoon feed with oat milk. The alpro 1+ milk will be better though, it wasn't available when DS was younger.

Alpro do soya yoghurts which are widely available. Tesco and asda do their own. Pure spread or vitalite are reasonable butter subs.
If you search the allergy board history there are some good threads with substitutes and there's one current one which is called something like "surprise dairy and egg free finds"

Cheese substitutes are pretty vile, I wouldn't bother.

I was advised not to give ds soya as those with dairy allergies/intolerances can sometimes have the same with soya - summink about the structure of the protein??? (ds didn't though - phew!)

We used oatley milk and now soya. I compared the added vitamins in alpro+1 milk and they had no more than a standard soya milk - same levels of calcium and vit D added Confused. We also have the alpro/soya yogurts and desert and swedish glace (dairy free) ice cream which is possibly the best ice cream I have ever eaten.

By 12 month ds could eat cheese and butter but he's still a bit funny with yogurt/cream/ice cream.

Someone may have already said this, or you may have already tried it yourself, but is it just cow's milk products? Have you tried goat's milk? I have a friend who can't have cow's milk but is fine with goat...
