Bergamot citrus marmalade

I've found some Bergamot oranges / lemons which smell amazing and am keen to make some marmalade.

I love this recipe for Seville orange marmalade, but am not sure if it'll work for the bergamots.

The only one I can find for them is this one.

Does anyone have another recipe they recommend or even just for comparison to the pre-blanching version?

Would also value any ideas / recipes for anything else I can do with them.

Isn't bergamot what flavours Earl Grey tea? Or is it Lady Gray? The oil of bergamot is supposed to be an anti depressant!

How exciting? No marmalade advice, though, sorry!

! not ?

Yes it is the Earl Grey / Lady Grey flavour. Didn't know about the anti depressant properties, it does smell uplifting. Apparently it's a statin too. Will be healthy marmalade apart from the tonne of sugar then smile

Can I be cheeky and ask if you made the marmalade? I've got some bergamots coming too and I was wondering what to do with them.

Also, have you seen this marmalade recipe?

No haven't made it yet but must do. I'm going to try the David Lebowitz recipe, have had a read of his blog and like his style.
My Mum mentioned a lemon confit recipe she uses, which also sounds like it'd work well.
Wil post it too if you're interested smile

I'd love to hear how your marmalade turns out.

I'm going to have a go at the David Lebowitz recipe as well, although I've never made marmalade so I'm a bit scared. I was also thinking something like these cookies.

Decisions, decisions.
