Chocolate cake/pudding with or without raspberries for a dinner?

Am going to attempt a chocolate cake type pudding for when friends come over at the weekend. It can be served with Greek Yoghurt or crème fraiche and I'm wondering which one to do (put out both?) and whether or not to gamble with buying raspberries or strawberries to go with it. Like the idea of the colour and taste but am not sure whether they'll actually taste great at this time of year, regardless of where they've come from.

What do you think?

Yes definitely raspberries. Lovely with that pud.

always creme fraiche over yoghurt! Greek or not, it is not the same, no no no!!
Chocolate and rasp is best.

Crème fraiche and raspberries. If you're worried about the out-of-season berries you could do a coulis with frozen berries instead, I suppose.

Oooh - good idea with the coulis!! Thanks for that, hadn't crossed my mind.

Crème fraiche and raspberries (or raspberry coulis) it is then.

Thank you very much for getting back to me.
