Using up cadbury creme eggs...

Don't shoot me, but we still have about six cadbury creme eggs left over from Easter sitting in the fridge. Normally would have scoffed the lot down, but they're just too sweet.

Does anyone have any ideas about what I can do with them? A brownies recipe or something? Otherwise I thought I'd melt them down with some more plain choc to make chocolate crispies for my DD's birthday party? Not sure it'd work?

All ideas welcome (and I'll send you cyber tasters via t'internet) :o

you could make giant creme egg cupcakes, but if the creme eggs are too much then you'd not manage a cupcake.

If you have a brownie recipe then I am sure a couple smashed up and stirred through would not come ot any harm.

Ooh I'm intrigued! How would you make the giant creme cupcakes?

I'm thinking the fondant would make the brownies even gooier and yummier... :)

At Easter I make a load of chocolate came mix put into big muffin cases and put a creme egg know the middle.

Bake as normal and the creme egg turns to goo inside.

Yum!

Freeze them then smash them up with a hammer while frozen and add them to some good ice cream. Refreeze.

Eat them!

Or make some cheesecake thing. Catsmamma's cupcakes look great btw.

Is that a Freudian slip Mike? 'chocolate came mix' ? :o Shock :o

I know, I know. Leftover chocolate is genuinely not normally in my vocabulary, but I think my old age is catching up on me! Blush :(

I would eat the lot.
There are Halloween scream eggs in the shops now.
But yes if you really must, bake it into the middle of something.

I've just had a look and four of them are the caramel ones.

Think I'll do a few in cupcakes - do you reckon I just mash a bit of each one into the middle of the dough? Sort of dollop a bit of normal mixture into the cases then a bit of creme egg then cover with the rest of the mixture?

Will either do brownies or crispies with the left overs.

Will report back.

And I apologise again for the shock this has caused many of you. The same would normally be my response. I have no valid excuse really... Blush

I usually freeze my creme/caramel eggs before baking.

I make my normal brownie recipe then spread bits of frozen smashed creme egg onto the top before baking. YUMMY!

Sounds lush. Will give that a go. Might mix a few bits in them as well.
