Before chucking it out? I have one in a tub in the fridge from Wednesday, with the drumsticks still on, was going to use it to make a chicken barley soup. We will projectile vom record breaking lengths won't we?

Say the word and I will bin or boil wink

Unless it smells bad it's probably fine. But I laugh in the face of use by dates and freezer rules and have a constitution of iron. smile

I'd have thought that was fine as long as it's been safely in the fridge the whole time. Well, I'd happily use it for stock anyway <hastily denies any responsibility for future projectile-vomiting episodes grin>

But if you feel at all doubtful, don't do it, I'd say.

I now usually gather up all such bits of chicken and chuck them in a bag in the freezer, then take a batch out every now and then and boil it up from frozen when I need stock. Gets round the 'will I, won't I poison everyone' scenario!

Boil. If the smell offends then chuck. It'll be fine, I think.

Big risk-taker, food-wise, I am. (channelling Yoda for some reason!)

Cast iron stomachs here.

Also, I hate wasting food.

I'm a risk taker too, but I'm a bit funny when it comes to chicken...

Ah to hell with it, I'm going to boil! And surviiiive! I hope

boil it - it would smell bad if it had started to turn.
