Cooking up a storm... or at least hoping to!

Hi all...

I'm 37+2 and now spending lots of time at home preparing for the impending arrival of my DD. I'm wanting to get loads of meals cooked and frozen for the first couple of weeks but struggling for ideas. Really don't want to have to resort to ready meals as a quick fix every time so just wondered what kind of easy dinners you might recommend that freeze well and come out nice and tasty still.
We don't really dislike anything so open to any ideas you might have.

Cheers :) xx

Thanks KnockKnockPenny I'm completely clueless but love home cooked food. We never freeze/defrost dinners, everything is always cooked fresh so this helps :)

Also a good idea to get some frozen veg/rice in individual packs that you can use to make a quick meal. Things like pasta with sauce/pesto and some extra veg and cheese is a good easy meal. Omelettes take no time at all to whip up. Chicken breasts and a pack of frozen rice/veg with a drizzle of sweet chilli sauce is a favourite quick meal here.

I froze homemade fishcakes, burgers, meatballs and falafels as well as a some lasagna, chicken casserole and shepherds pie in the week before DD was due. Did the fishcakes etc as after a while I get sick of eating 'wet' things like casseroles etc and knew I'd be sick of them before long :)

Don't spend too much time making and freezing meals though, get your rest whilst you can! Plenty of quick meals you can make from scratch :)
