Im trying to get enthusiastic about this weeks meal plans. I'm not. A month into my brandy spandy meal planning makeover I'm running out of inspiration. Care to share? I'll give you last weeks (yawn)if you give me your yours I just know yours will be more exciting than mine
Slow cooked ham for sandwiches etc
Mon Roast chicken
Tues Chicken pasta pesto
Wed Jamie's meatloaf
Thurs rach Allen's h/made sausages n apple sauce & colcannon
Fri supposed to be homemade but too tired so frozen pizza (nutritious mmm)
Mon- Sri Lankan chicken curry with net bread.
Weds- Falafels in wraps with sauces/salads.
Thurs- Nigella's green pasta with blue cheese.
Fri- Peruvian chicken, from the Hairy Bikers.
Mine so boring too!
Mon- chicken risottos (left over chicken from suns roast)
Tues- Halloumi veg bake
Weds- dh cooking as its my bday
Thurs- jacket pots with either tuna or beans and cheese
Fri- veg biryani
Just bough Hugh FW new veg book as trying to eat less meat, the veg biryani comes from there and is really delicious, and uses mainly store cupboard things.
Ooh some nice ideas vickles your recipes sound really different (in a good way! ) I should really cook a veggie meal at least once in the week. I've had no-one except a two year old watching me eat today so I've indulged in fish fingers beans mash and sweet corn mmm. Guilty pleasures.
PIL made us roast chicken today and the rest of the week in no particular order:
Slow cooker Persian chicken and rice and broccoli
Homemade pepperoni pizza and salad
Slow cooker beef and ale stew with mash and peas
Jacket potatoes with beans and cheese and sausages
Butternut squash curry and rice and naan
Pasta bake (made by DD(8) and her friend so god knows what it will be like) with tuna somewhere in it. Maybe.
Managed to do shopping for £53 for the five of us this week so am interested to see how it all pans out!
Mon - Fish, homemade wedges, peas
Tues - scrambled eggs & cheesy toast
Weds - Bolognaise (jarred sauce - sue me)
Thurs - Faijitas
Fri - sausages, mash & beans
This is a bit disjointed to be honest as one or the other of the adults is out each night this week. Normally given the season we'd have at least one casserole over two (non consecutive) nights, and also two vegetarian dishes.
First week back at work after being on mat leave for 12 months so have actually meal planned for first time in my life!
Had Roast Chicken today
Monday - chicken, leek and mushroom pie
Tuesday - meatballs (shop bought) and spaghetti with homemade tomato sauce from freezer
Then in no order as all in freezer:
Vietnamese pork and aubergine hotpot
Thai chicken curry (shop bought paste)
Changed the menu at the last minute as one of my dcs has to have "softer foods" this week so lunch and supper for week is....
Mon - fish pie/spaghetti with courgette, peas etc in cheese sauce
Tues - cottage pie/macaroni
Wed - Chinese fried rice with veg spring rolls/ spinach lasagne
Thurs - risotto with minced beef/vegetable tagliatelle
Fri - Salmon in teriyaki sauce with rice/ veg goulash with mash potatoes
Love the really diverse menus!
Monday- tomato, lentil and aubergine soup, slow cooked.
Tuesday- beef in red wine casserole, with champ.
Wednesday- mezze- pork and chorizo stew, patatas bravas, dressed lentils and flatbreads.
Thursday- leftover stew and flatbreads
Friday- pizza if there's dough left, or perhaps a sausage and bean casserole.
Saturday- husband will make dhal, eaten with saag aloo and maybe rice
Sunday- lasagne and salad. Yum.
What's this Persian chicken people have mentioned? I love a new way to eat chicken!

Thursday - Pasta bake
Friday - not sure yet but maybe pizza.
Pesto, olive and mushroom puff tart with fried gnocchi + salad

Sausage and bean casserole with baked potatoes
Chilli + rice
Sundried tomato and courgette risotto
Monday - Spicy meatballs & rice
Tuesday - Shepherds Pie (made either leftovers from Sundays roast lamb.
Wednesday - Murguez sausages with salad, wedges, pitta and tzatziki
Thursday - Nutty Chicken
Friday - Fish Goujons, chips and peas.
Going to nick some of the ideas above for next week

This is my first week of meal planning & I'm really hoping it works. I get home about 6.30pm and have to cook really quickly for DD1 who is in reception. DD2 has already had her dinner at childminders but is wanting some Mummy time, or course which slows me down. I am aiming to make dinner suitable for DD1 & me & DP (miracle), with enough for DD2's lunch the next day.
I brought Jamie Olivers new book (15 minute meals -I KNOW) and am hoping for some inspiration. Meal list is on fridge & shopping list in my bag for this evening.
Monday - Pasta Bake & Salad
Tuesday - Jamie Oliver's Ricotta Fritters & salad
Wednesday - Fish Fingers, Beans Salad (DP's night to collect DC & cook)
Thursday - Kofte & couscous (Jamie Oliver)
Friday - Sticky Squid balls (Another Jamie Oliver)
Saturday - it's my birthday so we'll eat out
Sunday - MIL cooks for us bless her.
Monday - Monkfish wrapped in bacon with broccoli, cauliflower and new potatoes.
Tuesday - Cauliflower cheese (with left over Cauliflower from Monday) with peas and sausages
Wed - Pasta bake with Garlic Bread and Salad
Thursday - Prawn Risotto
Friday - Soup from the freezer and lots of crusty bread
Sat - Roast Chicken, mash, cabbage, carrots and gravy.
Sunday - Chicken pasta with Salad.
Some lovely sounding meals here! We are going on holiday at the weekend so having a bit of a 'use up' week...
Mon-Turkey chilli, rice, tortilla chips, cheese & sour cream
Tues-Beef burgers, salad, chips & onion rings
Wed-Pasta with tuna, capers & olives
Thurs-Lamb curry, rice and peshwari naan
Fri-Possibly eat out at local pub to start our holidays!
EnglishGirlApproximately yes they are. Let me know how your's turn out. Dh thought they were the most delicious thing ever. The caramel layer did not stay seperate but sunk into the brownie mix but it worked well as you still got the taste/texture difference but at random bits during the brownie.
The brownie part was one of the best I've had as well (and I used to make them a lot).
Monday - Chicken korma made with low fat Greek yogurt (healthier than cream and use olive oil). Great with rice or mopped up with bread or naan
Tuesday - Fish Biryani (salmon or cod, frozem or fish), everyone loves this.
Wednesday - Stuffed Pasta Shells, the really big shells stuffed with veggies, pour over pasta sauce and low fat cheese and bake.
Thursday - Pizza night - Homemade pizza on wholemeal naan bread
Friday - Shepherds Pie or meatballs with spice mash potato
Saturday - kids favourite, baked chicken nuggets and homemade masala potato wedges
Sunday - Family treay, lamb biryani OR if knackered, then eat out!

I don't meal plan to this extent - hats off to all of you who have your entire week planned.
I don't tend to waste food, either, though - and often base meals around what veg is left in the fridge etc.
Yesterday we had leftover Irish Stew. Today we are having roast chicken. Tomorrow, leftover roast chicken. Next day, probably nothing as I'm working in the evening and I just don't tend to think that far ahead!
Sat - Bouillabaisse, French bread
Sun - meatloaf, mash, veg
Mon - lamb curry
Tues - turkey meatballs and pasta
Weds - pizza (dh away)
Thurs - fish pie
Fri - chilli
Today- am busy and wanted something quick so breaded chicken breasts and chips and salad and strawberry sorbet for pudding
Tuesday- seafood spaghetti, salad
Wednesday- lamb chops, mash, green beans
Thursday- chicken legs, either roasted with thyme and garlic etc or in casserole with mushrooms, bacon, garlic, thyme
Friday- homemade pizza, salad
Saturday-pierogi: Polish dumplings with meat or sauerkraut and mushrooms (haven't decided yet) and white cabbage, carrot and onion salad
Sunday- slow roasted lamb with all the trimmings
Oooh,MrsJohnDeere, bouillabaisse, I've got to do that, am always planning to but then forget. With aioli croutons, yum.

Mon - sweet and sour chicken (prawn for me)
Tues - chilli salad bowl
Wed - bolognaise for DH and DD; I am eating out as at school til 9
Thur - fish stew with garlic croutons
Fri - eating out as DH and me are going out
I don't plan for weekends.
Today - Quorn burgers, wedges & salad
Tues - Sausages (veggie) & mash
Weds - Split pea dhal & rice
Thurs - Either leftovers from Weds or pasta & pesto with peas & sweetcorn
Fri - Veggie chilli & baked potatoes
Sat - Either i will cook an Indian meal for large group of friends or we'll have takeaway!
Sun - maybe Risotto?
So probably veggie all the way for us this week!
M - Chicken curry, rice, homemade flatbreads
T - Lamb mince spag bol, garlic bread, side salad
W - Diet coke chicken, rice or homemade wedges
T - Make your own pizza night
F - Turkey fajitas, mexican rice, salad
S - Chicken & broccoli pasta bake
S - Sausage & bean casserole, tiger bread to dunk
