A year ago I was given Veg Everyday and I have tried loads and loads of recipes. Fabulous book. Easy, tasty, just great.

Today in WHSmith, I saw the other RC Everyday book on sale for £5 so naturally, I was unable to resist! Please let me know what you have cooked from it that was really great....

TIA.

I haven't used that one, only his veg one, so, err, pick the recipes you like?

We love the shin of beef in soy & ginger, the ginger cake, chicken in cider & cream, broad beans on toast (so fab!), 10 min veg stock very useful, porridge (he finally taught me how to make it properly), the cold sausage & potato lunchbox salad, lots actually, it's one of my favourite cook books, but is downstairs and I can't remember what else is in it!

The shin of beef in soy and ginger gets cooked loads in our house and is delicious. The lamb and squash curry is also very nice

Oh golly, I did the chicken in cider and cream. absolutely delicious. Luckily made enough for there to be a spare meal in the freezer!

Love the look of shin of beef, thank you.... and the Lamb and squash curry to.

Super, looking forward to next week's meals already!

Smile (really need a "seriously greedy" emoticon..)

Ooh, only a fiver you say?
I must not buy it.
I can't resist a recipe book.

the beetroot and chocolate brownie.
Another vote for the shin of beef with ginger and soy.
I use his pancake recipe too and after many years of being crap at pancakes am now good at them.
It's not quite as good as Veg Everyday but still a bargain at £5.

I've used the book at least 6 times in under two weeks. Even just some of his side dish veg combos - runner beans stewed in garlic (yum), leeks mixed with greens, stuff like that, dead dead easy, but not necessarily methods of cooking I would have thought of.

I am long on eggs right now, girls in major production mode, so am salivating over trying his egg tartare thing for lunch this weekend...

Don't know if it is still £5!
