What to do with Brioche rolls??

I've brought some brioche rolls for brunch but I've no idea what to do with them. Suggestions please. Feeding DH DCs and MIL. When I bought them I thought "they look nice" but don't think I'll get away with just butter and jam.

I'd say butter and jam is perfect!

Should I toast it first?

I've just eaten some with blackcurrant jam and they were lovely.

Good dipped into hot chocolate too but that may be a bit much....

You can toast them, yes, or eat as they are.

If you have any left, they make a great bread and butter pudding

Love brioche rolls... mmmm

Toasted on one side with butter is perfect. They are sweet so with jam can sometimes bit ott for me.... Marmite works well!

They are great also for use in trifle (instead of sponge), it's part of my secret trifle recipe.

I'm getting really hungry reading these suggestions. But I'll have to wait until MIL arrives :(

Creamy mushrooms are delicious on top.

This thread made me have another one with cheese - which also works really well.

Brunch over. I toasted them and spread with butter and jam. And they were lush. Think I'll have to have a go at making my own. Thanks guys :)

Brioche rolls sliced and gently warmed in microwave. 3 choices.

  1. Spread with Philadelphia Light and a dusting of fresh ground black pepper. A mix of sweet and savoury.
  2. A drizzle of honey. Sweet.
  3. Sliced banana, fresh Greek or low fat fruit yogurt. (Honey, syrup or cream optional. A very rare treat.)

I put cheese in mine when im feeling naughty. It's just the combination of slightly sweet and mature cheddar cheese Grin

Just came by this looking for ideas myself, I know it's been a very long time since you asked, but wanted to add my favourite. I toast any type of brioche, preferably smaller rolls, I mix some creme cheese with some lemon juice some dill and capers capers, butter the rolls with the creme cheese mixture, slice a small Lebanese cucumber, a few centimetres thick, you want some crunch, add to your roll and top with some sliced smoked salmon, crack some pepper over it, my god too die for, trust me !!!!!

I ended up putting ham and cheese on the rolls and popped them in the oven, like a croissant, very good

Split and toast them, then fill with sweetened chestnut purée, a little grated dark chocolate and vanilla ice cream for an easy but Christmassy pudding. Good in a croissant too.

There are some lovely ideas here which I’m going to try. We mostly do butter and jam or nutella. Or use mini hotdogs with a chipolata or two and some chilli ketchup which is surprisingly good
