My PIL have a big wedding anniversary celebration lunch next week. They are getting caterers in, but I would like to make something as a contribution to the lunch. I was thinking that most things would already be covered, but was wondering about something special to be served alongside coffee at the end. That way I wouldn't be interfering with anything the caterers are doing.

What about macaroons? I'd like to have a go at them and it's unlikely the caterers would do something like that.

or home made truffles - they look simple to make and you can buy lovely little cases and they would look great on a cake stand

The profiterole tower is a great idea, but I think they will already have dessert coming from the caterer. Like the idea of truffles too. They might be better than macaroons for going with coffee.

Thanks for the ideas!
