This year I'm trying this recipe www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1160/simmerandstir-christmas-cake?pager.offset=20and I have an 18cm deep (worried cake will be too high and not cook evenly) round tin or a 23cm shallow round tin (worried cake may burn round edge and cook too quickly) but not a 20cm tin.. advice please, which one should I go for?Sorry posted first message too soon.
Ooh - the winner from Gbbo pasted a link on conversion of recipes to size of tin I'll have a look for the link...
Thank you!!! My cake will be now be adjusted :-)
Let me know if it works.
