Can I freeze raw apples and then use in chutney?

I've got a glut of apples which need using as soon as possible. But my order of jars hasn't arrived from jamjarshop yet. Can I chop the apple and freeze it to use in chutney next week? If not, Apart from applesauce what can I do with them? I hate the thought of chucking them.

I'm sure I've made jam with frozen (by me) fruit before.

I've also frozen them in portions for use in pies/crumbles etc. o added sugar or anything, just apples.

I've never frozen raw apples before (not to say it can't be done though). But I regularly make chutney with apples that I have previously stewed - I prefer it that way as otherwise the apple can take too long to cook down - and I often stew apple and freeze it for use in apple sauce/chutney/crumbles/etc.
