Crispy Noodles

.... have been trying to source some uncooked crispy noodles for some time.

A long while ago either Blue Dragon or Sharwoods did some dried noodles that you threw in a pan of boiling oil and they puffed up really quickly....

Have written to Blue Dragon and they don't do these anymore... have scoured the local Oriental shops and Supermarkets and can't find them either - yet when I was in Asda today I saw that the Vesta Curry packet meals still include them.......

Anyone know where I may be able to purchase these - they just make a nice addition to toss on top of a curry/chinese once in a while...

Thanks

You can just use rice vermicelli, the thin white noodles that come in nests. I've always used them, not realising you could get specific ones.

The very thought of them is now making me drool.

Are you near a branch of Wing Yip? If not, they do an online mail-order service.
