Breakfast idea's please

DS is 6 and at lunchtime and dinnertime he is a really good eater and eats a wide variety of food. However I am really struggling with what to give him for breakfast, particularly on weekdays. He has never really liked any sort of cereal, not even the sugary ones, porridge is a big no no and he also hates toast! I have been giving him breakfast bars (nutrigrain and similar ones) which he will eat, but he is getting fed up with the same thing each morning and I can't blame him. At weekends I am happy to make him scrambled / boiled eggs, a breakfast omlette, etc, but this isn't feasible during the week due to the ridiculous time we have to be up and out of the house for school / work. I gave him banana and yoghurt for awhile which he liked, but banana's tend to make him a bit constipated so I can't give him this every day.
Does anyone have any other good (and relatively quick) breakfast ideas please?

Why does he hate toast? Is it the texture or the fact that it is bread. Try him on bread and jam or bread and nutella (I should have shares in nutella with the amount our teenagers get through - they'll have to buy their own at uni).

You say that cooked breakfast isn't feasible during the week because of the time you have to be out of the house; does this mean that he feels rushed? Could that be a factor? What I am suggesting is that if (could be a big IF) you got up earlier and settled him down for a boiled egg, you might manage to break the curse and after a while he might take cereal. I am guessing with this because, happily, our children have never had a problem getting any meal down!

My sister and I weren't keen on the traditional breakfast foods when we were kids either so my mum used to make extra for dinner and heat up left overs in the morning and alternate with the few things we would eat. Might be worth trying that.

My DD is very similar and breakfasts she has had include:
Bowl of baked beans (microwaved)
Cheese and ham with apple/grapes
Salami and cherry toms
Boiled egg and soldiers
Cheese and pickle sandwiches
A fruit smoothy and some hobnobs/HM flapjack Blush

At the weekend she loves any sort of cooked breakfast but I don't have time for that on school days!
